Canadian communities are on the verge of transformative change and opportunity. From open, smart cities to hyper-informed citizens, we’re seeing the beginning of flourishing cities where all can thrive.
We have new ideas, technologies, infrastructure, models of governance, opportunities for public participation, and new levels of investment – and together they’re inspiring cities of the future.
Join us at the Future Cities Canada Summit from November 7-9, 2018 at the Future Cities Centre at Evergreen Brick Works, in Toronto. The Future Cities Canada Summit is the inaugural event for Future Cities Canada, a collaborative platform that works to move big ideas around inequality and climate change, addressing the ways in which they impact Canadian communities. Drawing on the expertise of its founding organizations and together with a diverse and growing network of partners, Future Cities Canada’s unique collaborative infrastructure will accelerate innovation to build regenerative, inclusive cities of the future.
Join 500 other participants including national and international leaders focused on the future of our cities, the 20 finalists of the Smart Cities Challenge, Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Rockefeller Foundation, and leaders from across Canada associated with infrastructure planning, technology innovations and urban development. Together we will explore issues of inclusion, civic participation, housing, infrastructure resilience, data governance and placemaking across this three-day event.
